Hon. Opeyemi Akindele, the APC flag bearer for the Mosan Okunola LCDA chairmanship position, has assured residents of Abesan Estate that she will honor her campaign promises. Speaking exclusively to Abesan News in her first media interaction after winning the APC primary, Akindele reaffirmed her commitment to revitalizing Abesan and tackling its challenges head-on.
Hon. Opeyemi Akindele secured a decisive victory at the APC primary election held on Saturday, May 10, 2025, garnering 24 out of 27 possible votes.
As a former Chief Education Officer of AERA, Akindele has witnessed firsthand the issues plaguing the estate. She has vowed to engage with residents' associations, including AERA, unlike the incumbent chairman who has refused to recognize them.
If elected, Akindele would be the fourth chairman of Mosan Okunola LCDA. With her experience as Executive Secretary and APC Chairman in the area, residents are hopeful for a positive change.
