Ikeja Electric Empowers Future Leaders with Storytime Magic Initiative

Ikeja Electric, in celebration of the global Children's Day, has visited three primary schools in Lagos to boost the reading culture of pupils through its "Storytime Magic" initiative. The event, part of the company's #GiveBackAlways program, featured safety education, book reading, and presentation, aimed at improving skills and enriching the quality of education for children.
The CEO of Ikeja Electric, Mrs. Folake Soetan, emphasized the importance of supporting vulnerable populations and achieving Sustainable Development Goals, which focuses on quality education. The company donated books to the school libraries, authored by Mrs. Efe Fafinre, founder of Linking Hands Foundation.
The initiative was well-received by the schools, with the Head of Kith & Kin Montessori School, Mr. Adebanjo Olusegun, expressing gratitude for the company's presence, which "lit up the hearts of our children and created memories that they will cherish."
Similarly, Mrs. Kemisola Alabi of Rivergate Model Academy and Mr. Adeyinka Adedoyin of Role Model School commended Ikeja Electric for investing in the children's future and promoting positive values.
The event is part of Ikeja Electric's sustainability-driven initiatives to support its host communities. Kingsley Okotie, Head of Corporate Communications, Ikeja Electric Plc, highlighted the company's commitment to empowering future leaders.
