High Chief Moroof Aremu Owonla (KAKA) Honoured With Alimosho Man Of The Year 2015 By Banjo Omogbehin

 It was a day of jubilation and merry making for friends and well wishers of High Chief Moroof Aremu (Kaka) as he was honoured with 2015 edition of Dayo Osinowo Initiatives (DOSI), Alimosho Man of the Year Award on Thursday 28th of April, 2016. The Award and Commendation Ceremony which took place at DATT EVENTZ place Gowon Estate Lagos state drew prominent personalities from all walks of life including Honourable Bisi Yusuf a member of the Lagos state House of Assembly, also the chairman of the day and Honourable (Pharm.) Uzamat Akinbile Yusuf, the Commissioner for youth and Development, Lagos state, who was also decorated with an Award in Women Development category. In his welcome address Hon. Dayo Osinowo popularly called Papa Di congratulated all the Award recipients of the day and reminded them that they were chosen by people in their community and the society at large as a result of their good works, human and capacity building coupled with their philanthropic nature. In his words “the Nomination and selection is however, people’s parliament through opinion poll conducted through phone calls, text messages and emails by the organizing committee owing to the credibility and developmental attributes of the recipients in their various capacities.” Presenting the Man of the year Award to High Chief Moroof Aremu Owonla (Kaka) was the commissioner for youths and Development of Lagos state, Hon. (pharm) Uzamat Akinbile Yusuf. Receiving the Award, High Chief Moroof Aremu Owonla (KAKA) commended the organizer of the award for the laudable initiative and promised to touch more lives positively with his God given resources. He however, dedicated the Award to all good people of Alimosho and the Nigerian Society at large. “I thank the organizers of this Awards for this initiative. I am very honoured to receive this prestigious Award and I promise to touch more lives positively. This Award is dedicated to all the good people of Alimosho and Nigeria” He said. High Chief Aremu Owonla (KAKA) is a selfless and astute business man; he embarked on investment spree into various sectors of the economy which include Education, Health, Auto mobile, Hospitality as well as Oil and Gas in Nigeria and in the United States of America. A philanthropist of the first order, High Chief Owonla Who is at present the Traditional Ruler (Baale) of Candos town in Ayobo-Ipaja Local Council Development Area (LCDA) has touched so many lives with his extensive generosity. Married with wives and Children, High Chief Owonla sits comfortably atop chains of companies. They are : International Schools, Rosebol Hospital, Rosebol filling Stations, Rosebol Events Center, Owonla New Life Hotel, Saturn Nite Club and Kaka Motors, all in Nigeria. He also owns Rosebol Incorporated and Kaka Auto mart, both in New Jersey, U.S.A. Other Award recipients of the day include Honourable Uzamat Akinbile Yusuf (Commissioner for Youth and Development Lagos state) who won the Award in the women Development Category, Special Adviser on Civic Engagement to Lagos State Governor, Kehinde Joseph received in the grass root categories, Comrade Ogunwomoju Olusesan received in the public service category, Alhaji Wale Okedara received the Award in the social/Political Integration category. Other recipients of the Award include; Honourable Sulaiman Jelili, the Executive Secretary Alimosho Local Government, He received the Award in the good Governance category, Pastor Segun Omoloju, a Pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Lagos and the Head of Admin (HoA), Mosan Okunola LCDA, also received Award in the public Service category, Malam Umaru Garba also received Award in the Enterprise of the Year Category. Other institutions like Be TV entertainment and Sharp Corner Hotel Hospitality were also decorated. In his Closing remark, the organizer of the Award, Honourable Dayo Osinowo, a former Counselor in Mosan Okunola who is also aspiring to be the next chairman of same Council thanked everybody and hoped to continue honouring those making Alimosho proud.
