I Have What It Takes To Be The Chairman of Agbado OkeOdo LCDA – Hon. Afeez Alaran

Hon. Afeez Alaran

A focused and goal oriented young man who knows exactly what he wants, Afeez Olatunde Alaran is a Chairmanship aspirant in Agbado OkeOdo LCDA, Alimosho on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
A Banker turned politician, he believes he has what he takes to be the number one man at the Council Secretariat, a job that is also being eyed by not less than twenty other people.
An unassuming young man, we visited him and engaged him on his plans for the people of Agbado OkeOdo LCDA and why he decided to go into politics despite enjoying a flourishing career in the Banking industry. ‘Afeezman’ as he is popularly known and addressed by people is not a new entrant into Agbado OkeOdo politics. He has been a youth leader in his Ward for more than ten years, a position he utilized perfectly to register himself and his aspiration in the minds of the people and also to show them the stuff he is made of.
Having contested to be a Councilor on two occasions and stepping down the second time, he believes this is the time to forge ahead and aspire for the highest position at the Council to enable him actualize his dreams of taking his people to the promise land.
A grassroots politician, Afeez Olatunde Alaran has been on ground in Agbado OkeOdo since the creation of the LCDA and he boasts of his knowledge of the needs of the people. Showing us a written down plan he hopes to implement when he gets to office as the chairman, the graduate of Accounting from the Lagos State University and a happily married father who loves Reading, writing, listening to Music, Traveling, playing Football and meeting people said, he hopes to make Education, Health and Infrastructure his priority. These of course will be in addition to taking care of the welfare of his people, especially the elderly.
From his antecedents in the politics of Agbado OkeOdo and his mobilization ability, he believes Agbado okeOdo will fare very well under his leadership.
When asked to rate Governor Akinwumi Ambode’s performance in Alimosho since he became governor,  Afeez Olatunde Alaran who is older than the present Executive Secretaryy of Alimoosho Local Government, responded by saying the slogan “Itesiwaju Eko …Lo je wa logun”. He added that Alimosho couldn’t have been luckier with another man as the Chief Executive of the State. Having worked with Ambode during campaigns and knowing the substance he is made of, he assures Alimosho hasn’t seen anything yet. He noted the many constructions going on at the same time in Alimosho and believes before the end of Ambode’s first four-year tenure, Alimosho will be looking like Victoria Island.
