Yesterday, Sunday, July 10, 2016, Abesan Estate Residents Association (AERA) held an interactive session for those aspiring to executive posts in Abesan Estate.
Abesan Estate is one of the biggest Estates in Nigeria in terms of human population.
The highlight of the event was the debate between the two presidential candidates, Elder Afolabi who is trying to come back for a second term having finished his first term of three years and his opponent, Pastor Ogundimu.
Worthy of mention is
the walk-out of a candidate contesting to come back as Treasurer, Mrs.
Obembe when she was asked which she will give priority, her family or
her job as the Treasurer. A visibly angry woman who made it look like
she is doing AERA a favour by holding a post for them, walked out of the
meeting!
Though the electoral body made a case for her that she took excuse to go to the rest room (which is not true because we saw when she left without talking to anybody, except she sent whatsapp or BBM to inform them), she came back after her session had already elapsed.
