Lagos State Government Set To Unveil Youth Policy Document

In running an all-inclusive government by Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State, the government through the Ministry of Youth and Social Development, would be launching and unveiling the Youth Policy document

This epic event is scheduled to hold on November 8, 2016 at Folarin Coker Staff Clinic, Secretariat, Alausa,Ikeja.

The Honourable Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, Pharm(Mrs) Uzamat Akinbile-Yussuf, said that youths are the bedrock of any nation, adding that no nation can have a meaningful progress without fully participation of youths in all sectors of economy.

According to her,

" We know young people are our future. In a few short years'time, young people will be running the world. It's important to engage and inspire the young generations for everyone's benefit, and as a youth, you have the power to do this". 

"The Government is taking proactive step of developing a strategic policy which would provide a positive, viable and sustainable direction to promote the growth of youth in the state",she added.

She said that this step will enhance development and create opportunities for the youth in the State.

According to her, " This Policy document will define the vision that the state has for youth residents in the state. It provides a crucial framework guiding the state's approach to ensuring that the large number of youth population in the state are provided with a high quality of life, their potentials are realized and they become a veritable asset to the state's economic and social development".
