Non Governmental Organizations collaborate to celebrate International Women's Day

International Women’s Day is celebrated on March 8 every year. It is a day women are recognized and appreciated for their achievements and contribution to their community without regard to divisions, whether national, ethnic, language, cultural or economic.

In recent years, International Women’s Day has assumed a new global dimension for women in developed and developing countries alike. The growing International women’s movement which has been strengthened by four global United Nations women’s conferences has helped to make the commemoration a rallying point to build support for women’s right, gender equality, women reproductive rights and participation in political and economic arena.
