Hope Builders Foundation Distributes Business Kits and Startup Capital to Women and Youth


Hope Builders Foundation, a non-governmental organization (NGO) that focuses on the training of women and youth in different vocations has trained more than 2000 women and youth since it was founded in 2008. HBF, on Saturday 15th July, 2017 distributed Business Kits, Startup capital and certificates to successful participants who have undergone different Trainings with them. The beneficiaries who were chosen from a pool of participants are the outstanding Trainees who are now functioning in their chosen Vocations.

The events leading to the conquest of reigns from the past executives of Abesan Estate Residents Association (AERA) to the new executives were full of expectations as most residents expected more than they were getting from the past regime. The last administration was swiftly sent parking and another installed. Since the inauguration of the present administration in September of 2016 however, little has been noticed in terms of achievements. Abesan News met with Pastor Kehinde Ogundimu, the president of AERA in his office on Tuesday July 11, 2017. Tola Olaiya, APC Councilorship candidate from Abesan 1 in the forthcoming Local Council elections visited our office on Wednesday, 5th July, 2017 to clear the air on some information going round about him not having a job and many others. In the interview he had with the editor of Abesan News, he talked about his contribution to his community, his educational background, his source of income and other issues. I am Emmanuel Tola Olaiya, born in 1969, September 27. I had my primary school in Yaba Methodist, my secondary school at Igbobi College and Tertiary institution at Lagos State Polytechnic for OND and HND.
I have been in Abesan since April, 1982. I left for school, got married and came back to Abesan in 2005 because of my political career. You know you have to be resident in the place you are interested in contesting. I have been practicing politics since 1999 and moved back to Abesan to actualize my aspiration of contesting a political office.

A jolly good fellow and definitely loved by all, Olatunbosun aka Bossman decided to make his relationship to Abiodun, formal. The parents of two beautiful children have been together since 1999. Abesan 1 Deserves a Councilor Who Will Deliver - Morakinyo Abayomi (Candidate)

Abayomi Morakinyo, aka ABM is contesting on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) as Councilor in Abesan 1 of Mosan-Okunola LCDA, Alimosho, in the forthcoming Local Council elections, he seems to be the candidate to beat with his growing popularity among the Youth and the Elderly.
For him, delivering on election promises is of utmost importance and he feels personality, rather than party affiliation should be the basis on which people are elected into public offices.
An Economics graduate from the University of Ilorin and a father of two, ABM, as he is fondly called says if we want to change anything in the society, getting involved in governance is the way forward.
