GAS TANK STATION IN ABESAN SEALED BY LASEPA

A Gas Tank station located on 5th avenue, Abesan has been sealed by Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency,  LASEPA.

Leading his team to the Gas station on Friday 19th June, 2020, Director of compliance and enforcement, LASEPA, Mr. Kayode Bello noted that the station was sealed because there are no documents to back up establishing the Gas station in a residential area.


Addressing the proprietor of the Gas Station, he said the agency was petitioned by residents who believe setting up a GAS station in a residential area could be dangerous.

Mr. Kayode Bello also noted that ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT was not carried out on the project.

Mrs. Odumosu, the proprietor of the Gas Station was asked to take the documents used to set up the business including the Physical Planning permit to their office at Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos.

The Director paid a courtesy visit to the president of Abesan Estate Residents Association, AERA Mr. M.A.O Kehinde on his way out of the Estate where he briefed him on their activity in Abesan.
