At a stakeholders' meeting held on
Monday, August 14th, 2023, the
chairman of Mosan Okunola LCDA, Hon. Princess Olabisi Adebajo, also known as
Abisco, assured residents that the Local Council Development Area would provide
palliative measures to alleviate the challenges posed by the recent fuel
subsidy removal.
To ease the hardship, Princess Adebajo announced that the
LCDA would distribute the palliative in batches. The chairman revealed plans to
introduce affordable bus services for convenient transportation within the
area. Additionally, road construction projects will be undertaken according to
the directives of the state government.
Princess Adebajo emphasized that further palliative should
be expected from both the State and Federal government.
The first batch of palliative support will benefit groups
such as the Community Development Committee (CDC), Artisans, Christian
Association of Nigeria (CAN), League of Imams, market men and women, and the
physically challenged.
With these measures in place, Princess Olabisi Adebajo seeks
to alleviate the burden on Mosan Okunola LCDA residents and ensure the
community's well-being during these challenging times.
