AERA EXECUTIVE PAYS COURTESY VISIT TO NEW AREA COMMANDER, AREA M POLICE COMMAND, ACP TOKUNBO ABANIWANDA

The executive of Abesan Estate Residents' Association (AERA), led by the President, Elder Michael Kehinde, paid a courtesy visit to ACP Tokunbo Abaniwanda, the new Area Commander of Area M Police Command, Idimu, Lagos on Thursday July 24, 2025 at her office. During the visit, the President welcomed her back to Alimosho and expressed appreciation for her outstanding service as the erstwhile DPO of Ipaja Police Divisional Headquarters.

The AERA leadership specifically commended ACP Abaniwanda for her professionalism and restraint during a challenging period in the estate, when tensions ran high and there were calls for her to take stern action against estate leaders. Instead, she opted for a peaceful resolution, making proposals to secure the estate and demonstrating her commitment to finding solutions that benefited the community.

The President noted that her dedication and hard work especially during her tenure as DPO contributed significantly to her recent promotion to Assistant Commissioner of Police, a well-deserved recognition for her capabilities.

In her response, ACP Abaniwanda expressed sincere appreciation to the AERA executive for the courtesy visit and the kind words about her service as DPO of Ipaja Police Divisional Headquarters. She stated that she enjoyed working with the estate's leadership and residents, and was grateful for the opportunity to have served the community. ACP Abaniwanda reiterated her commitment to the safety and well-being of the residents and looked forward to continuing their collaboration in her new role as Area Commander of Area M Police Command.
