TRANSPARENT TENDER OPENING FOR SIX VITAL ROAD PROJECTS: Mosan Okunola LCDA has never experienced such openness in projects execution process before - ALHAJI YISA YUSUF (YY)
The Mosan Okunola Local Council Development Area (LCDA) has taken a significant step towards improving infrastructure in the community with the holding of a tender opening for the reconstruction of six vital road projects. The event, which was held at the Secretariat Hall, on Monday 1st September, 2025 was marked by transparency and inclusivity, reflecting the administration's commitment to good governance.
The tender opening, which was conducted in the presence of stakeholders, politicians, contractors, and community leaders, saw the participation of Hon. Akindele Adunni Opeyemi, the Executive Chairman of Mosan Okunola LCDA, who assured the community of a special focus on infrastructural projects. The Vice Chairman of the LCDA, Hon. Omoba Abiodun Falade Akintola, played a triple role as the Executive Chairman's representative, Chairman of the Tender Committee Board, and master of ceremony.
The six road projects up for reconstruction are:
1. 2nd Avenue dual carriage road, Abesan Estate
2. Modupe Street, Abesan Estate
3. 51 Road, Gowon Estate
4. Powerline road, from Lion of Judah road to Odemuyiwa Street, Okunola
5. Boys Town Bus stop to terminate at the Retail Market
6. Town Planning Way to Federal Bus stop in Shagari Estate
The tender opening process was conducted openly, with the Tender Board Committee Chairman, Hon. Falade Akintola, and the Procurement Unit head, Mr. Shittu, overseeing the proceedings. Stakeholders commended Hon. Akindele for her transparent and all-inclusive governance. A political leader, Alhaji Yisa Yusuf, expressed excitement at the new dispensation's approach to project execution. He noted that Mosan Okunola LCDA has never experienced such openness in projects execution process before.
The Community Development Committee (CDC) Secretary, Mr. Femi Ojo, praised the administration for its proactive approach, transparency, and commitment to transforming Mosan Okunola LCDA. The Chief of Staff, Hon. Tolulope Falope, added that the reconstruction projects would be completed within a record time of 100 days in office, serving as a tip of the iceberg for the administration's plans.
