Abesan Estate Celebrates as Hon. Akindele Delivers Boys Town Road in Just 100 Days
Cheers and applause filled the air in Abesan Estate on Wednesday 19th November, 2025 as residents witnessed the completion of the once-abandoned Boys Town Road, a project delivered by the administration of Hon. Akindele Adunni Opeyemi, Executive Chairman of Mosan-Okunola Local Council Development Area (LCDA), in a remarkable first 100 days in office.
The newly rehabilitated road, long plagued by neglect and decay, is now fully ready for commissioning, marking a significant milestone for the community.
During an inspection tour of the project, residents and traders openly described Hon. Akindele as “the best chairman we’ve ever had,”
The tour was graced by the Vice Chairman, Hon. Akintola Falade; Chief of Staff, Hon. Tolutope Falope; councillors, and senior management staff led by Council Manager, Mrs. Abiola Apatira Aderinokun.
Speaking on the site, Hon. Akindele issued a strong warning against indiscriminate dumping of refuse into the drainage channels and the display of goods on the roadway, stating that stiff penalties would be imposed on violators to preserve the infrastructure.
She praised her team for their unity and dedication, saying, “To the glory of God, if not for your cooperation, there’s nothing we can do. One hand can’t clap. Under three months, we were able to achieve this. Imagine what we can do in 48 months.”
The chairman also announced that solar-powered streetlights would soon be installed along the entire stretch to enhance security and visibility at night.
With the successful delivery of Boys Town Road, residents of Mosan Okunola LCDA are now looking forward to more transformative projects from the Akindele-led administration in the coming years.
