TECH CONSULTANT BUS OBAYOMI VIES FOR GILBERT TOWN COUNCIL SEAT

As voters in Gilbert cast their ballots in the July 21 Primary Election, management consultant and civic leader Busola "Bus" Obayomi has emerged as a key candidate seeking one of four open seats on the Town Council.

Obayomi, a Nigerian American who immigrated to the United States at age 14, brings an extensive background in data strategy, artificial intelligence, and public policy to the nonpartisan race. Holding an MBA along with executive education from the Harvard Kennedy School, he has centered his platform on managing Gilbert’s rapid growth through smart infrastructure, strong public safety, and fiscal accountability.

Two brothers, Bus and Mayowa

Founder of the Building Bridges Leadership Foundation and an active civic volunteer, Obayomi is competing alongside six other candidates, including three incumbents, for four-year terms on the council. Under local election rules, candidates securing a majority of votes in the primary win their seats outright, while any remaining vacancies will be decided in the November general election.
