Your priority is picture when the Estate needs help! Kehinde blasts Ogundimu.

Following the lecture on leadership by former president of Abesan Estate Residents Association (AERA), Pastor Ogundimu, (check this site for the post) the current president replied him and scolded him on what he took as priority when there are pressing issues that involve all hands on deck in Abesan. Dear Sir,
RE: MISSING PHOTOGRAPH OF IMMEDIATE PAST PRESIDENT
Above subject matter refers please.
I feel highly honoured by your letter captioned as above and dated 3rd February, 2020 as it afforded me the opportunity to clear the air, and hasten ongoing steps at amending this kernel concern to your being.

I want to extend my tribute to you in the name of GOD Almighty, to whose mercy I commit you, your household and your righteous endeavours. Your letter in reference has taken your affability to a new level, a safer and welcome development between acquaintances. It is however apt, in this context for the sake of posterity, as you probably intended.
On my honour, there is no denying the fact that you spoke to me concerning your plan to have pictures of past Presidents hanging on the Wall of AERA Secretariat, and that I saw your photograph so mounted. I here now state with all sincerity that, contrary to your belief as expressed in your letter, I did not order, direct, approve, or acquiesce to the removal or disappearance of your Photograph. When I noticed its absence on the Wall, I sought to know what befell it by an alarm I raised, followed by a directive and admonition to whoever was responsible to release and remount it where it was. My directive was not to please anyone, but guided by my belief in doing the right thing. It was just not right and I was embarrassed by the disappearance, unknown to me that it would come to be topical. The photograph does not inhibit my functions in anyway and I found the removal not just embarrassing but an irresponsible act, capable of stoking a needless crisis. The directive to find and replace it subsisted even until receipt of your letter. I take responsibility and apologise for this incident, and for the seeming indifference at recovering it (the missing being under my watch) but the latter (non recovery till now) could be explained and excusable on account of the barrage of challenges we inherited from you, coupled with the fight back by those who desired that the chaotic status quo in our Estate inures.
Like you correctly observed, matters calling for attention and of prior importance abound in the Estate, I dare say in legion. Our preoccupation was in surmounting these challenges hitherto resignedly considered non surmountable. We have a mandate to ensure that the Estate and her residents begin to experience tranquil livelihood, that we got carried away momentarily unmindful of the missing photograph. While busy facing the security challenges, chaotic situation of the Estate Gate, dirtiness of the environment, series of assault by the Local Council Development Area(LCDA) Chairman, the fallout of the fathom CDA elections, aberrant and apathetical residents sinister plots etc, the search for your missing photograph inevitably got dwarfed.
You would agree with me that Oun to ndun ni nii po lOla eni (Ones foremost heartache forms the Peak of his desires). Your most pressing need at this point in time is to have your photograph hanging on AERA Wall, and no effort should be spared in finding the object of that foremost aspiration. No one should begrudge your choice of priority or impede its attainment. In the same vein some of our priorities as earlier listed are also sacrosanct (to us) that we shall not hesitate to dynamite every clog designed to block our path to amelioration. Competing right of personal priority against corporate priorities.
It is expected for a Goal chaser to be desperate, and to attempt all means to actualise such dreams and therefore it is not out of place to report to the appropriate Government agencies as you threatened. Also welcome and lawful is your resolve to access the social media and the court of public opinion, after all iwakuwa la nwa nkan eni to ba sonu (every effort, even the ridiculous are deployed to find ones missing article).
You ought to be informed that the reasons why my mind was tentatively off the directive I gave to fish for your photograph include how to resolve or seek redress for:
your failure to render any account for the three (3) years of your service,
Your descent to deceit, and hide and seek game concerning Mr. Shina Thomas who did not present Statement of Account as requested, and whom you claimed (in full view of congress) no longer picks your call, while in actual fact you both are in daily touch, culminating in his emergence as Secretary to you the Chairman of one of the CDAs!
Your holding on to, and refusal to release the Associations Walkie-Talkie and other items I have demanded of you several times to no avail.
Sir, our priorities include seeking your answers to the posers from a resident in a pamphlet distributed during January 2020 congress (a copy here attached). Let me request that your responses to all questions be included in your engagement of the government agencies, the social media, and the court of public opinion. And note that failure to accede to this demand after seven (7) days of your receipt of this letter would not only amount to an admission of the alleged improprieties, but trigger an enquiry by the relevant government agencies, and become subject of debate on those interactive media you suggested.
The concern for your missing photograph elicited 3 pages of printed matter; please let your explanations sequel to above demand be even more comprehensive and exhaustive.
Your real perception of my personality; as intended but disguised by the accolades in your 3 Rs & S (Reliable, Responsible, Reasonable and Sensible) is in the negative going by your statements Kindly re-consider your stand on this issue. What you do to others shall be done to you. No position is permanent.  The quoted statements are ever present banal truism, but bother not a clear conscience, so I thank you all the same.
I promise to seek and recover for remounting, your photograph in due course.
Please accept the assurances of my high regards. Remain blessed.

Yours faithfully,

Elder M.A.O. Kehinde
       President.
