AERA President Calls for More CDAs, Cooperation in Abesan Estate

At the 2024 year-end gathering of the Greenland CDA in Abesan Estate held on Saturday 11th January, 2025, Elder M.A Kehinde, President of the Abesan Estate Residents Association (AERA), addressed the community with a renewed sense of purpose. He emphasized the need for the establishment of additional Community Development Associations (CDAs) within Abesan, highlighting the benefits of a more robust and representative community structure.

Elder Kehinde also stressed the importance of cooperation and collective effort among residents, urging everyone to work together towards a common goal of making Abesan a greater community. He encouraged residents to put aside their differences and unite in their pursuit of a better quality of life, improved amenities, and enhanced community facilities.

The AERA President took the opportunity to appreciate the leadership of the Greenland CDA, Pastor Ogundimu and his team for organizing the year-end gathering, which brought together residents and fostered a sense of community and camaraderie. He also called on other CDAs in the estate to emulate this example and organize similar events, promoting community engagement, social interaction, and a stronger sense of belonging among residents.

By promoting the creation of more CDAs and fostering a spirit of cooperation, Elder Kehinde aims to empower the community to take ownership of its development and drive positive change in Abesan. His message served as a call to action, inspiring residents to come together and strive for a brighter future for their community.

In response to the AERA President's call, the Chairman of Mosan Okunola CDC, Alhaji Fajobi, noted that he has made frantic efforts to create more CDAs in the area and is hopeful that these efforts will come to fruition soon. His response suggests that there are already moves being made to address the AERA President's appeal, and that the community can expect to see positive developments in the near future.
