Hope Builders Foundation Organizes Financial Management Training For Beneficiaries of Their Vocational Trainings

Hope Builders Foundation, (HBF), a non-governmental Organization, on Thursday 4th January 2016 organized training for the beneficiaries of their free Vocational training for secondary school leavers titled "MakingA Career Choice And Benefits of Saving culture". 
The Executive Director of the organization, Mrs. Folayemisi Adu, while addressing the beneficiaries, enumerated the importance of financial management for the success of their businesses. Their one-year training program which started in August 2015 will soon come to an end and so the need to be good in how to manage their businesses. 
The organisation in August 2015, gave scholarships to promising young school leavers to learn different Vocations. With a few months to the end of their program, the organization brought them together again to be trained by career men and women who are accomplished in their chosen professions to give them talks on how to manage their finances and how to be successful in their chosen career.
One of the speakers at the event and a lecturer at the Lagos State University (LASU), Dr. Tosin Adu, took his time to take the beneficiaries through different career paths. He encouraged them to be determined and to work hard towards achieving their goals in life. 
A financial expert who was also on ground to talk to the trainees, Ms. Kate, talked on the importance of money and how to source for it. She gave reasons why the trainees must take the financial aspect of their businesses very seriously and also taught them basic record keeping skills. She gave the opportunity of sourcing for loans from her organization, a privilege given because of the relationship her company has with the Organisers. 
One of the parents of the beneficiaries who were at the program, Mrs. Ruth Ogundeji praised the organizers and prayed for them. She could not hide her emotions as she prayed for God to continue to bless and increase Hope Builders Foundation. Her daughter, she said has been doing very well in her chosen Vocation which she said is a source of pride to her. Mrs. Ogundeji encouraged the beneficiaries to take their vocations seriously and to be hard working. 
One of the beneficiaries, who spoke, thanked the organizers and promised she and her mates do their best to project positively, the image of the Foundation. She thanked them (HBF) for the opportunity given to them to learn the different Vocations to better their lives and prayed for God’s blessings on the Foundation.
The Vocational trainings being sponsored include but not limited to Catering, Barbering, Hairdressing, Fashion designing, Photography, Makeup, Beads Making.
The Executive Director of Hope Builders Foundation, Mrs. Folayemisi Adu in her closing remarks, thanked the beneficiaries for the seriousness they have put into their training. She encouraged them to cultivate the habit of saving and proper financial management. She thanked the parents for cooperating with them and promised to keep up the work the Foundation is doing.
Hope Builders Foundation has been in existence since 2003 and has given scholarships to hundreds of beneficiaries to learn various Vocations over the years.
