I Inherited N170m Debt from Mafe- Akindele

The Executive Secretary of Mosan Okunola LCDA, Hon. Opeyemi Adunni Akindele has said that she inherited a debt of N170m from her former boss and erstwhile chairman of Mosan Okunola LCDA, Hon. Abdul-Lateef Mafe. This she said during an LGA meeting with members of her political party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Our source and a member of her political party who was at the meeting told Alimosho Standard she also said the roads flagged off on Monday, 1st February are to cost the LCDA a whopping N400m, a sum that will be paid by Lagos State government to the contractors but deducted from the allocation of the Council.
It is instructive to know that 30% of the money have already been paid and the contractors handling the roads; Kudwin Investment limited for Remi Ogunjimi Road and Wetland Construction Nigeria Limited for 41 Road in Gowon Estate are expected to deliver the standard roads with streetlight, walkway and drainage in 16 weeks.
Hon. Opeyemi Adunni Akindele was appointed Executive Secretary of Mosan Okunola by the administration of Mr. Babatunde Fashola (SAN), the former governor of Lagos state on 5th January 2015 and has spent one year and twenty seven days in office.
She was said to have made these revelations while giving account of her stewardship to members of her political party.

My attention has been drawn to the allegation of N175 Million Debts levelled against me in the social media. As a good Servant of the people, it becomes necessary to set the record straight before the good people of Mosan Okunola LCDA in particular and the general public.
At the expiration of my tenure on October 2014, I handed over to the Head of Administration (HOA), Mr Olusegun Omoloju. In my handover note, both the Assets and Liability were thoroughly stated for the avoidance of doubt. Furthermore, if the Executive Secretary is in doubt, let her liaise with the Head of Administration (HOA) Mr Olusegun Omoloju for details.
Therefore, the purported N175Million debt was nothing but a hoax, a figment of imagination and a calculated attempt to tarnish my good image and to mislead the public".
