MY GREATEST ACHIEVEMENT IN LABHCA – Comrade Olanrewaju Atanda

Comrade Olanrewaju Atanda
Comrade Olanrewaju Atanda, the immediate past president of Lagos State Barbers, Hairdressers and Cosmetologists Association, LABHCA has said that his greatest achievement during his tenure is the acquisition of landed property for the association and for individual members. Speaking with Seyi Babalola and Tunde Gbadamosi of Alimosho Standard, the former president thanked God for helping him during the 8 years tenure he says was a success for him and for the association.
According to Comrade Atanda, it was during his administration that the association was able to secure Government recognition and proper registration of their association which added integrity to their score card. They got support from the former governor of Lagos state, Mr.  Babatunde Raji Farshola (SAN) who approved sterilized machines for the association. He added that the association was able to run skill acquisition programs for members of the association and intending members through their school, LABHCA Institute of Cosmetology and Hair Management, LICOHM.
When asked his best and worst days in office, Comrade Atanda noted that his best and worst days revolved around the Ikorodu zones of the association. His worst day was when the Ikorodu zones opted out of LABHCA over a conflict and his best day is when he was able to resolve the conflict and then reinstate the zones back to LABHCA.
As a man among many beautiful women, he says he was able to cope because of his discipline having gathered experience in the cooperate world before joining the association. As an ex banker, he said his wealth of experience helped him to run the affairs of the association and to bring it to an enviable height.
On his expectations of the new executives led by Comrade Yetunde Ijaoba Oladipupo, he says with the caliber of the executives, he believes they are equal to the task ahead of them.
