The president of Abesan Estate Residents
Association (AERA), Mr. Ogundimu Kehinde on Friday 27th October,
2017, swore in TRANSPORTATION and MULTIPURPOSE COOPERATIVE SOCIETY COMMITTEES. The
committees were sworn in the presence of chairmen of the sectors and AERA executives
at the association’s Secretariat.
The Multipurpose committee which
is chaired by Alhaji M.S Akintunde was charged among other things, to come up
with a duly registered cooperative society that will be beneficial to
the
residents of Abesan. Other members of the committee made up of experienced
Bankers, accountants and other professionals include Mr. R.Y A Akinyemi, Prince
Oyeniran, Mr. Sina Thomas, Mr. Olufemi Odeyemi, Alh. Ganiyu Hassan, Mrs.
Howells, Mr. Seun Olukoya and Mrs. Ipaye.
The Transport committee chaired
by Mr. B.A Adams was charged among other things to eradicate completely, ‘shadow
boys’, touting, ‘Area-boys’ at all bus stops, especially Akinyele, Main Gate,
Opeki and other major bus stops in Abesan. They are also expected to regulate
the activities of Okada, Marwa, Mini Buses and all other forms of
Transportation within Abesan. Other members of the committee include Mr. A.
Adesanya, Mr. Obi Daniel, Mrs. Kemi Fashola, Mr. Isaac Adebayo, Mr. Fasasi, Mr.
Ola Oni, Alhaji Alayaki and Mr. Olakunle Akinsanya.
The two groups are expected to
carry out their assignments and come up with a report in December and January
respectively.
