Akindele Gives Free Medical Check-up, Charges Staff to Work Hard
The Executive Chairman of Mosan-Okunola Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Akindele Adunni Opeyemi, has urged staff to work diligently and uphold professionalism in their duties. She made this call during the council's first monthly prayer session since her assumption of office.
The event, held on Tuesday August 5, 2025 at the Council secretariat and attended by top officials and staff was marked by praise for Hon. Akindele's generosity and commitment to staff welfare. Some staff members who had planned to leave the council due to alleged mistreatment under the previous administration have reportedly had a change of heart, citing the new chairman's kindness and dedication to workers' well-being.
In her address, Hon. Akindele emphasized the importance of staff welfare, but also warned against lateness, absenteeism, and negligence. She assured staff of upcoming training sessions, seminars, and improved welfare, promising to appreciate those who perform their duties diligently.
The chairman's commitment to staff welfare was demonstrated through the provision of free medical check-ups for council staff and non-pensionable staff, a gesture that was well-received by attendees.
Other speakers at the event, including the chairman of the National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Comrade Agoro Jamiu Adebanjo, and the Human Resource Officer, Mr. Toyin Tajudeen Opeyemi, praised Hon. Akindele's leadership and initiatives, expressing optimism about the future of the LCDA under her leadership.
